Google corporate parent's 3Q disappoints jittery investors



Google's corporate parent boosted its earnings by 37 percent during the third quarter, but it still wasn't enough to reassure investors worried about tougher regulations that could make it harder to collect the personal information that fuels the company's advertising network.
